WHAT INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We will collect the required information for the processing of online purchases. We will require your name, surname, phone number, email address, billing address and delivery address. Your payment will be made through a secure payment gateway.

WHY WE COLLECT INFORMATION

Your information helps us identify you and the other customers of our site. You may only share your own information with us, and never the information of another person. You will always be informed of the reason for the collection of the information, and be given the opportunity to approve. If you object to the reasons we give for the collection of information, please do not provide us with the requested information, or attempt to access the product or service requiring you to provide the information to us.

The information we collect is necessary to fulfil our obligations to our customers, and will only be processed for those purposes, to fulfil our legal obligations to government or regulatory authorities, for security screenings, or the testing and maintenance of our system.

We may use your contact information to provide you with direct marketing materials, subject to you agreeing to receive these materials. You may cancel your consent to receiving direct marketing materials at any time.

HOW WE COLLECT INFORMATION

We collect information through forms filled in on our website. We will never request your information from you by post, phone or another form of electronic message. If we, or someone who claims to represent us, contacts you and requests any information from you by any suspicious means, we ask that you contact us immediately. We will never collect your information from unauthorised third parties. In special cases we may do background checks through legal channels, although it is unlikely that this will be necessary.

WE WILL NEVER SHARE YOUR INFORMATION

Only our authorised employees or contractors who have a need to access your information for specific, legitimate purposes, will be allowed to do so. If we undergo an ownership change, we will make an announcement, and you will have the right to request that your information be deleted if you do not want it to be inherited by the new owner.

MEDICINES AND RESTRICTED GOOD

Medicines are available for collection and delivery. Restrictions on delivery may apply, depending the schedule of the medication for example schedule 6 and above medicines are not eligible for delivery.  There may also be restrictions on the geographical location where delivery may be possible. In order to collect your medicine, you must produce the original prescription at the dispensing pharmacy upon collection of the medicine. For delivery orders, you will need to provide the original prescription to the driver to return to the pharmacy. Only the prescriptions of persons authorised to prescribe in South Africa will be dispensed. Prescriptions may not be older than 30 days from date of issue, and where repeat medication is indicated on the prescription, the repeats cannot be processed 6 months following the date of issue.

The fees for medicines on the App/Website is in compliance with all regulations and rules regarding the transparent pricing system for medicines and scheduled substances, the advertising of medicine and the services for which a pharmacist may levy a fee and guidelines for levying such fees. Please note that prices may differ when medicine is claimed from your medical aid.

WE WILL KEEP YOUR INFORMATION SECURE

Your information will be stored safely and access controlled, and only our properly authorised technicians will be allowed access.

RETAINING YOUR INFORMATION

We may keep your information after you cease your relationship with us indefinitely or for a period prescribed by law. You may at any time request that we delete your information. The information we retain may be used for research or statistical purposes related to our business, or for other lawful reasons.

COMPLIANCE

  • We endeavour to comply with the South African Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013, other applicable law and industry best practices.
  • You have the right to complain to industry regulators if your rights in terms of the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 are violated.
  • You must be 18 years or older, and have full legal capacity to be a user of our website.
  • You have the right to know where we are holding your personal information, and to request access to your personal information.
  • You have the right to object to the collection, retention or processing of your information.
  • You have the right to approach a competent court to enforce your rights.
